“I am very proud that for the thirteenth year running Knowsley pupils have excelled in their GCSE results. Once again, pupils, teachers and everyone involved with education in Knowsley have worked exceptionally hard to achieve our highest ever standards in GCSE attainment.
“This year’s results demonstrate how Knowsley’s Centres for Learning are really boosting performance and raising standards of learning even further.”
Damian Allen, Executive Director of Children and Family Services, said:
“My congratulations go to the students and teachers who have worked really hard to achieve their goals. These provisional results demonstrate that our new Centres for Learning are producing high performing, successful students with bright futures ahead of them. The sustained year on year improvement means every year more young people have the potential to go on and achieve in employment, education or training. The consistency of achievement we have seen over the past few years clearly show the effectiveness of the partnership working in the borough between pupils, parents, schools and council staff.
Meanwhile, adult learners across Knowsley are also celebrating after 79% of entrants achieved an A-C in English and 51% an A-C grade in maths.
