The exciting new Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park will open on Monday, 26 September.
World-class facilities are on offer including two swimming pools, state-of-the-art gym, six court sports hall, a complete spa experience, performance, events and conference facility plus much more!
It’s only a short walk from Huyton town centre and is easy to get to either by car, train, bus, bike or on foot. To help you get to the new facility, Knowsley Council has teamed up with Travelwise to produce a guide, detailing all the public transport routes to the new facility on Longview Drive in Knowsley.
The guide is available to pick up from our one stop shops, libraries and other leisure centres, as well as being available to download on the council’s website www.knowsley.gov.uk
Also on the same site is the OurPlace youth facility, which has been developed by young people for young people. OurPlace is due to open at the end of October and provides an exciting new place for 13-19 year olds to meet and take part in a range of activities including BMX and skate ramp, as well access to a media suite, café and a range of activities and services.
Cllr Eddie Connor, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Community and Culture added “I hope that our travel guide will help people to find the best transport route for them, we already know that some people are keen to cycle to the facility as they’ll need their bikes when they get here to enjoy the fantastic new BMX and velodrone facilities! I’d really like to encourage people to come and visit us and see what excellent leisure and cultural facilities we have on offer here in Knowsley.
Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park really does have it all and I look forward to welcoming people to come and see for themselves!”
