Brothers and sisters, older children and youngsters with complex needs are in need of loving, stable, adoptive homes.
Knowsley Council is using National Adoption Week to highlight the many different children and young people in the borough who are waiting for a new family home.
The Adoption Service would welcome interest from people who have the space in their homes to accommodate sibling groups or children with complex and special needs.
National Adoption Week, begins on Monday 31 October this year.
Cllr Wright, Cabinet Member for Children and Family Services said:
“The children we are looking to place are often brothers and sisters and as every adoptive child needs their own bedroom we are looking for families with the space to accommodate them.
“Adoption is a life changing experience for all those involved. Anyone who feels adoption could be for them and would like to find out more about providing a young person with a loving, secure home should contact Knowsley’s adoption service for an informal discussion.”
If you would like to find out more about adopting please phone Knowsley’s Adoption Service on 0151 443 3958.
