Knowsley Housing Trust (KHT) has delivered special hampers for elderly and vulnerable tenants.
Staff members volunteered their time to help make up 60 hampers, together with young tenants from the Octavia Court Tenants’ Committee, and they were delivered over the Christmas period.
The hampers were funded through KHT’s Advantage scheme which helps to reward tenants, and contained everything from soup and crackers to mince pies and chocolates.
The recipients were chosen by KHT housing officers who made sure that they went to only the most deserving tenants.
“It was great to see some of our younger tenants getting involved, and giving up their time to help their fellow tenants,” said Pat.
“One couple we delivered a hamper to - Mr and Mrs Quigley in Prescot who have been married for over 60 years – said they were very happy to have been thought of at Christmas.”

Thankful sharing! Really It does sound extreme. I must say well done young tenants. Thanks to KHT executive director Pat Hollingsworth for his help. Thanks and keep it up!
