An exhibition of the best and the very latest in contemporary crafts opens in Knowsley this month.
‘Crafted’ is a celebration of all sorts of new design work, including ceramics, textiles, furniture and glass.
It includes work from established and celebrated designers such as Halima Cassell, Victoria Scholes, Tom Sutton and Sara Preisler.
It’s at Huyton Gallery in Civic Way from July 16 to October 7, 2012 and many of the exhibits are available to buy.
This year, Knowsley’s leisure and culture service is also giving design graduates from Liverpool’s Hope University the chance to exhibit their work.
“We’re exhibiting the work of aspiring talent alongside well established, professional designers.
“It’ll highlight new design styles and practices so it’s a great chance to see what’s happening in craft at the moment.”
There will be a private view of the exhibition on Thursday 19 July, from 4pm until 6pm. If you’d like to go, contact Tina Ball on 0151 443 5617 or email tina.ball@knowsley.gov.uk.
The opening times for Huyton Gallery/Library are Mon and Fri 9.15am–5pm, Tues/Wed/Thurs 9.15am–7pm, Sat 10am–1pm.
Hopefully there's a possibility some photos of this latest craft exhibition. I'm so excited to see how they look and made. =)
