There’s just a few weeks to go before the biggest free show of its kind in the North West comes to Knowsley.
The Knowsley Flower Show is on August 5 from 11am until 5pm at Court Hey Park in Roby Road in Huyton.
It’s expected to be bigger and better than ever this year and celebrates both the Olympics and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
There are also more classes than ever, including lots for children, a section for jams and chutneys and one for novices.
The show will be opened by Knowsley’s Mayor, Cllr Norman Hogg and the head gardener at Tatton Park, Sam Youd, who’s also a judge and a panellist on Gardeners' Question Time at the show.
There’ll be limited parking on site so visitors are advised to use public transport where possible.
There’ll also be free shuttle buses to the show from Huyton town centre/ Huyton bus station, Whiston Village, Prescot bus station, Kirkby bus station and Halewood Ravenscourt.
To find out more, go to the website www.knowsleyflowershow.com, call show secretary Christine Yates on 480 8666 or Carla Simkin at Knowsley Council on 443 5353.
