The work of Britain’s most talented illustrators is on show in Knowsley this month.
‘Images 35’ is a showcase of work by some of the biggest names in the industry including drawings from advertising, books and social media.
The illustrations on show have been chosen by a panel of experts and the exhibition is organised by the Association of Illustrators.
The association was set up in 1973 to raise the profile of illustration and protect the rights and standards of those working in the industry.
“Images 35” runs at Kirkby Gallery, in Newtown Gardens, Kirkby, L32 8RR from August 13 to October 13, 2012.
The gallery is inside Kirkby Library and is open Monday and Friday, from 9.15am to 5pm, Tuesday and Thursday, 9.15am to 7pm, Wednesday, 9.15am to 1pm and Saturday, 10am to 1pm.
To coincide with the summer holidays and the ‘Big Draw’ in October, an event to encourage everybody to try their hand at drawing, there will be a range of art workshops to accompany this exhibition.
To book a place on the workshops, email tina.ball@knowsley.gov.uk or call 0151 443 5617.
