Residents of Halewood and beyond can now enjoy a brand new shopping experience as the Halewood Shopping Centre is complete.
The new, modern shopping centre on Leathers Lane is home to a number of well known high-street retailers and includes new bus and car parking facilities.
Locals are already making use of the new shops including Aldi, Tesco Express, Barnardos, Ladbrokes and the Newsagent which have all now opened.
“The whole area has been completely transformed and Halewood residents now have access to a fantastic new shopping facility right on their doorstep. It’s something that will benefit the community for many years to come.”
Local resident, Paul Burke of Pendleton Green, said: “The new shops are fantastic and it’s great having a supermarket in Halewood. There’s a real buzz from everyone about using the new shopping centre.
“It’s already making a massive difference to the area.”
Other shops opening soon include Home Bargains, Card Factory, Iceland, Blow hair and beauty salon and fish and chip takeaway Halewood Fish Bar.
The development of the new shopping centre completes a major regeneration of the Leathers Lane area of Halewood following an investment of £20 million.
