The sun shone to help celebrate the annual Littledale Festival recently.
Now in its fifth year, the Littledale Festival took place on Saxon Way in Kirkby on Saturday, 22 June. Over the years, the festival has grown in both size and popularity. This year, even more activities were available, making it a great family day out.
The Mayor and Mayoress of Knowsley, Councillors Brian and Christina O’Hare, attended the celebrations. Throughout the event, a range of activities were on offer including fairground attractions, a tin-can alley, donkey rides, a bouncy castle, a bucking bronco as well as Liverpool’s Town Crier, Terry Stubbings. In addition, visitors were treated to dance routines and a choir performance by Ravenscroft Primary School.
The event, organised by Littledale and Shevington Residents’ Association, is a key event in the Towerhill calendar and was well attended. It aims to help bring communities together, celebrating community spirit and helping local residents to get to know their neighbours.
