JOB seekers in Knowsley are being given the power to instantly search over one million jobs across the country.
They are being invited to connect to a new online tool called MyWorkSearch, which constantly scans the UK job market and can help to create the best CVs to land the right job.
MyWorkSearch has been commissioned in partnership by One Ark, a new charity in Knowsley which is part of the First Ark Group, and Knowsley Council’s Knowsley Works team.
Tony Cahill, Executive Director – Business and Service Development, from One Ark, said: “Supporting local people to get jobs is something we care passionately about and are committed to – so we are proud to have commissioned an online way for job seekers to find the work they want.”
MyWorkSearch not only includes local jobs but also scans all the major online employment websites such as Monster and Totaljobs, as well as thousands of employer websites for vacancies too.
The service is available to around 25,000 tenants of KHT, First Ark’s housing association that provides homes in Knowsley.
- An easy-to-use and friendly online service that can be used at any time and at your own speed.
- A way to find out the specific skills you have and to create the best possible CV.
- A service that offers 24/7 support, alongside all the tools and expertise you need to land the right job fast.

Tony Cahill, Executive Director – Business and Service Development, from One Ark, added: “This gives our tenants an advantage because it offers easy access to job opportunities and on-going career choices – and this is just the start of a wider range of initiatives to help support local people looking for work, including a Skills and Jobs Fair being planned for later this year.”
Richard Alberg, Chief Executive of MyWorkSearch, said: “We are delighted to work in partnership with the First Ark Group and Knowsley Council to provide the tools to help people find work.
“MyWorkSearch can make a real difference to those looking for work in what are still challenging times, supercharging their job search. It is especially helpful to people claiming benefits who need to have a Government Universal Job Match account, as MyWorkSearch can optionallylink in and automatically keep your Jobcentre Plus advisor informed about job search activity.”
Cllr Dave Lonergan, Knowsley Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Economy and Skills said, “We’re thrilled to partner with KHT to deliver this new facility. The Knowsley Works team already provides a free specialist service to help Knowsley residents who are looking for work. This new, online tool will strengthen the support we provide and allow job seekers to carry out job searches at their own convenience.”
