There’s lots to see in Prescot town centre this weekend.
As well as the monthly Producers’ Market on Saturday, there will also be the opening of Grace Lea, the winner of First Ark’s ‘Win a Shop’ competition, plus a range of entertainment including a live band and dance performances.
Grace Lea, a new furniture upcycling and restoration business, will open its doors in Prescot Shopping Centre on Saturday, 7 June at 11am. It beat off the competition to win One Ark’s ‘win a shop’ competition to support a local retailer by providing a unit rent-free for a year.
As the brainchild of Knowsley-based owner Cheryl Mullins, Grace Lea will sell a range of high quality restored vintage furniture and bespoke items at affordable prices. As the furniture will be restored on site, Cheryl will also host workshops from the unit, which will teach others the skills they need to upcycle their own smaller items.
Prescot Producers’ Market takes place on Eccleston Street between 9am-2pm, whilst Grace Lea will open at 11am.
