A Kirkby man has been charged with murder after a man was stabbed to death on Monday night.
John Mark Nolan, 24, of Shaldon Road, Kirkby, appeared before magistrates on Wednesday morning.
Karl Richards, 21, was stabbed several times at a house on Kersey Road. Police were called to the scene after reports of a row, and the man died later that night in Fazakerley Hospital.
Stockbridge man jailed for sword killing
Stephen Sandison, 25, of Boode Croft, Stockbridge Village, was one of two men sentenced to life yesterday for murdering Kevin Brown, at a house in Huyton last year.
Mr Brown, 22, died from multiple stab wounds in a premeditated attack with a sword on August 22, 2004.
Ian Murphy, 22, of Walton, was also convicted of murder. A third man, Scott McBride, 22, also of Boode Croft, was acquitted of murder, but found guilty of assisting an offender.
