Police believe up to 100 bikers may have witnessed a crash that claimed two lives on Wednesday.
The collision occurred at about 7.50pm on 26 July on Randles Road, Knowsley Industrial Estate. An Aintree man, 37, and a Bootle man, 42, were travelling on motorcycles when they collided.
The area is believed to be used as a meeting place for people connected to the biking fraternity, and police think up to 100 bikers may have been in the area at the time of the crash.
Police are appealing for anyone who was at the scene and has not yet come forward to do so. Anyone with information can contact Merseyside Police Traffic Department on (0151) 777-5730.
