Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a van and its contents were stolen during a robbery in Kirkby this afternoon (June 18, 2007).
A man threatened two delivery drivers at an address in Appollo Crescent around 12.20 today, and subsquenty drove off with the white LDV Maxus, registration number BU06 KNY. Both men were shaken but unharmed.
The van, with wire mesh on the windows, was carrying around 70 parcels at the time of the delivery, and was driven off towards Headbolt Lane, Kirkby.
The main suspect is described as 20-years-old, 6ft tall of slim build and was wearing a grey hooded top, grey tracksuit bottoms and a grey scarf. A second man, who accompanied the suspect but is not thought to be involved in the robbery, is described as white, 19 years of age, 5ft 10 tall, of medium build, stubbly complexion, and was wearing a blue hooded top and dark trousers.
