A celebration of every child's right to play takes place in Knowsley next week with a gigantic outdoor day of fun.
The event is part of National Play Day, and takes place at King George V Playing Fields, Longivew Lane, Huyton, from 10am - 3pm on Wednesday, August 1.
Open to parents and families with children of all ages there really will be something for everyone to enjoy.
Divided into three play areas - under fives, large play and free play - the day includes activities such as haystacks and den building, airbourne adventure, penalty shoot out competitions, balloon modelling, a rodeo bull, swing ball and circus skills workshop.
There will also be scrap play arts, velcro barfly, face painting, parachute games, and human football!
Playday, now in its 20th year, is a national campaign encouraging thousands of children and young people to go out and play at locally organised events like this one in Knowsley.
Knowsley's event is organised by the council's youth and play team.
