Treat yourself to an early Christmas present when the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra return to Knowsley with their popular seasonal concert - in Halewood!
Tinsel Town celebrates the festive season in musical style, presenting a host of festive favourites to send you home with a warm glow and not a dry eye in the house.
Each colourful piece perfectly captures everything we look forward to at this special time of year.
From the nostalgia of White Christmas to the riotous party sing-along of Jingle Bell Rock, Alasdair Malloy leads the way in a concert full of traditional festive favourites, Christmas cheer and suitably sparkling surprises.
Even Santa himself never misses this one!!!
This year’s concert is even more exciting as Alasdair has designed this programme to get everyone singing and dancing, with so many opportunities for audience participation.
Alasdair is Principal Percussionist with the BBC Concert Orchestra and also much in demand as a studio musician for films, television and recordings.
Alasdair will be helped out by the Knowsley Southern Primary Choir, with members from local schools including Halewood Church of England Primary, St Marks Catholic Primary, St Andrew the Apostle Catholic Primary, Plantation Primary and Greengates Primary.
Tinsel Town is delivered by Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council and Halewood Town Council and takes place at Halewood Leisure Centre on Friday 14th December at 7pm to 9.30pm and tickets are priced £6.50 or £3.50 concessions. Tickets are on sale at Halewood town council and Halewood Leisure centre.
For the past few years, these winter concerts have been a sell out and anyone hoping to attend should book soon. For all ticket information please contact Leanne at Knowsley Arts Service on 0151 443 5619.
