Nominations are now open for the 2011 Good Neighbours in Knowsley awards, which are now in their third year.
The awards, set up by the Knowsley Partnership, enable residents to acknowledge and thank the people who make their community a better place to live.
Anybody who lives in Knowsley can be nominated for the Good Neighbours in Knowsley awards, and it can be for any reason which makes your life, or that of your community, better. We are seeking nominations, from both young and old, across all areas of the borough.
This year, the awards are being sponsored by Balfour Beatty.
Cllr Ron Round, Leader of Knowsley Council, said “The awards are a fantastic opportunity to say thank you to the many people who make Knowsley a great place to live. Over the last two years, I’ve been overwhelmed by the volume of nominations, demonstrating the strong community spirit we have here in Knowsley. I’m looking forward to seeing the nominations which will come in this year.”
To make your nomination, log onto our website – www.knowsley.gov.uk or pick up a nomination form at any of the council’s One Stop Shops. Nominations close on 30 September 2011, and the winners will be announced at a ceremony in November 2011.
