The best of new, local talent was showcased in a night organised by a group of young music enthusiasts from Knowsley.
En-Chord is a group of young people who came together as part of a Knowsley Leisure and Culture project in Stockbridge Village.
They set up their own music project in March 2011 with help from Knowsley Council and Youth Music.
They had very little experience of the music industry but lots of passion and enthusiasm, not only for music, but for reaching out to help other young people in the area.
They now run consultations and music workshops as well organising jamming sessions with other musicians and gigging themselves.
The line up included Mobo Award winning - Esco Williams, Mic Lowry, Bolshy,Kayli Kincade & Kakosi, The Pulse, Harmonize, John Riley & Jay D’vine.
They ran a free community bus to take people from Stockbridge Village to the gig and many of the people at the event were from the area.
“There was a great atmosphere at the gig,” said Sarah Craven, Knowsley’s Principal Leisure and Culture Manager.
“These young people love music and want to help as many others get involved too.
“It’s a great project and this was a great chance for them to perform alongside some of the other great singers and musicians in the area.”
