Knowsley Council has once again teamed up with British Cycling to run the Sky Rides programme which encourages residents to explore the borough on two wheels and get out and about on their bikes.
New routes have been introduced this year, offering even more choice and challenges.
The Sky Ride Local programme is a series of free, fun, guided bike rides around the borough. The rides are guided by friendly British Cycling Ride Leaders along scenic planned routes and offer a range of levels – steady, easy going and challenging.
The races start from across the borough including Knowsley Leisure & Culture Park, Stockbridge Village Neighbourhood Centre, Stadt Moers Park, the National Wildflower Centre, Halewood Leisure Centre and Kirkby Leisure Centre.
The first ride commences at 10am on Sunday, 8 June from Knowsley Leisure & Culture Park. Places must be booked in advance – to find out more or to book your place, visit www.goskyride.com
Andrew McCormick, Director of Community and Leisure said “Sky Rides was introduced last year in Knowsley and due to its popularity, it has returned again. It’s a fantastic programme that helps people of all ages and experience to enjoy the borough’s scenery on two wheels. This is a free programme, so join in and book your place today!”
