Visitors will be transported back to the Elizabethan era when Prescot celebrates its historic heritage on Saturday 3 May.
There will be traditional 16th Century crafts such as basket making and wood turning, live music and heritage stalls including an apothecary and a wool merchant.
Pottery demonstrations will be followed by the chance for visitors to take a turn at the pottery wheel.
Exhibits from WWI will be on display at a 'pop-up' museum and there will be a falconry demonstrations and free face painting for the kids.
The Elizabethan Fayre will take place from 10am to 3pm in and around Prescot Parish Church.
Church Bell Tower tours will start at 11am and run every half hour.
The festival recreates the old May Fayres which were held in Prescot during the era of the first Queen Elizabeth.
The fayre coincides with the monthly Producers' Market that will take place in nearby Eccleston Street and showcases the best produce from local farmers, bakeries and businesses.
Andrew McCormick, Director of Community and Leisure, said:
"The Elizabethan Fayre promises to be a great day out for all the family, the entertainment will have a distinctly Tudor feel but there will be something of interest for all ages and admission is free."
